RealFlex is a semi-flexible PLA based material with some unique properties and exclusively available from Real filaments. The adhesion with itself is of outstanding quality, resulting in even single perimeter prints of 0.6mm you cannot rip apart by hand in the z direction. While this is a semi-flexible filament, it can be printed using a bowden system albeit a bit slower. By being a bio-degradable filament, RealFlex is environmentally better than PET-G or ABS filaments and the base material comes from renewable sources.
Although it's called RealFlex, the flexibility is only noticeable in prints with little infill. When printed more solid, it rather feels like a screw driver's hand grip: soft and firm. The biggest advantage comes from its high-impact properties. This makes it a great material for protection of structural parts in drones for example. We recommend NOT using a heated bed and to print is directly on glass. This will provide sufficient adhesion with the bed without any warping. When finished, you can safely remove the print from the bed using a chisel or spatula tool. You can extrude RealFlex at 200 degrees Celsius.
The RealFlex is available in four colors, but we can supply any PLA color we currently carry.
